Remarks:
The south Los Angeles convention again revised the categories. The combination of novel with novelette indicates how many prominent novels were available only as magazine serializations, and how their relative shortness was not that much different from what those magazines called 'novelettes'. ('Novella' had not yet come into vogue.)
