Remarks:
Beginning this year a jury of SFWA members selected the final nominations, from the results of voting on the preliminary ballot. In addition most categories were limited to 3 finalists to give voters a better chance to read everything. Final results were still determined by a vote of general SFWA membership; Nebula jurors are not judges who choose the winners.
This year also marks the first SFWA Grand Master Award (see separate
listing
).
