Over the course of just over a decade, beginning in 1962 with A Century of Science Fiction, Damon Knight produced a couple of dozen reprint anthologies. Five 'tomes' are compiled on the "Knight Tomes" page; his Science Fiction of the 30's is compiled on the "Decades Bests" page. Another fifteen are compiled on this page. Some are theme anthologies while others simply gather Knight's selections of stories, mostly from the 1940s and '50s, that he felt deserved preservation in book form.
Authors most often reprinted in this group: Robert A. Heinlein (8), Isaac Asimov (7), Theodore Sturgeon (6), C.M. Kornbluth and Henry Kuttner (5 each). Knight also found stories by non-genre authors who rarely if ever appeared in other genre anthologies, including W. Somerset Maughm, Ogden Nash, and Damon Runyon.
