The Analytical Laboratory (AnLab) is the annual readers' poll conducted by Analog magazine to determine the favorite stories, articles, and cover art published each year.
History
The name derives from a monthly feature created by John W. Campbell in 1938, a poll of each issue's stories to determine which writer would receive a bonus payment. The monthly feature was abandoned after Campbell's death, then revived as an annual poll by Stanley Schmidt in 1979.
